No advanced fitness is required, and the experience is designed to be enjoyable for all participants.
ITINERARY
The experience takes place on the northern side of Mount Etna, at an altitude between 1600 and 1800 meters.
You will enjoy a guided hike through dormant craters, ancient lava flows and unique endemic vegetation. The route is approximately 3 km (round trip) and lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours.
Throughout the walk, a certified naturalistic English-speaking guide (other languages available upon request) will explain the volcanic phenomena and the characteristics of the Etna environment.
After the hike, you will visit a volcanic cave (lava tube), equipped with helmets and headlamps provided on site.
Please note that the volcanic cave may not be accessible during winter due to snow conditions.
