Tour description:
Get to the base of the summit craters of Mt. Etna!
The excursion includes a journey to the Summit area of Mt. Etna using 4x4 vehicles, traveling from 1800 meters to 2900 meters on the north side. We will reach the area near the volcanological observatory, and from there, we will begin an easy walk (approximately 40 minutes) with a view of the North-East crater above.
This tour will allow you to encompass the breathtaking view of the sea up to Taormina and the Strait of Messina, while experiencing the feeling of walking on a lunar landscape, among lava flows and extinct craters.
During the off-road ride and the walk, you will be accompanied by an English speaking guide who will explain you all the volcanic phenomena.
After the walk, we will stop to grab a Sicilian sandwich and then we will visit a volcanic cave before returning (helmets and headlamps will be provided on spot). IMPORTANT NOTICE:
